for xmas, my new tv is arriving (a jvc hv28p37 if ya know it) which for a uk kid is quite exciting.. component input allowing 525p 625p 1080i and 1125i. no 720p which is.. a pain, but livable.
anyway, my main "transport" for using and abusing this new format is via a modded xbox with a HD component cable.
until it arrives i'm basically trying to throw as many samples at it and see what it can cope with. i've tried a few 720p xvid movie trailers from dreamworks, and they work fine.. whether they'll even appear on the tv is another matter (probably fine at 480p, but i don't think it can upscale to 1080i :( ) but i haven't been able to find any 1080i samples (except WMV. which murders the xbox in its path!)
so if anyone knows any links (legal of course ;) ) that have 1080i video in either .ts / mpeg or xvid.. i'd be really appreciative. thanks!
