Hello a/all, first let me say after looking around for a few days this seems like a VERY well thought out/ran board with none of the usual kid stuff/bs, very refreshing.
First question, is there a way to quick copy ( i.e. one drive to another ) from a sorce disk that is itself a copy/backup ?
Software I'm using now, dvd decrypter, dvd shrink 3.1, nero suite 3, burner is pioneer DVR-108, thanks in advance.

Any program that can copy an "original" disc can also copy a copy.
And since it already fits on a DVD-R, you don't even need to shrink it.
So just tell Nero to do a direct copy. I don't remember exactly what the option is called, but it's definitely there.

i'd be glad to help, but you can only make backup copies of dvds that you actaully owned
aw, what the hell:
from the program you listed, only nero, but i can't be sure, cause it's nero suite (whatever that means)

Welcome to the forum:
I'm not sure by your description exactly what version of Nero you're using. I'm currently using Nero Burning Rom v.6. What you're wanting to do can be accomplished in v.6 by using Nero's "On the fly" option. Here's how I'd do this in v.6...
Insert the disc you wish to copy > File > New > When the "New Compilation" window opens, select the format of the disc you wish to copy, then click the "Copy Options" tab > Enable the checkbox for "On the fly".
Be aware that using the on-the-fly burning option is the least stable of all burning routines and that you're liable to run into buffer underrun problems, depending on your system resources, and the capabilities of your burner/reader. The only way to figure out if this works for you, is to do some tests and make a decision based on the results. If you get discs that are unviewable, you're into the "no-man's-land" of figuring out if your media is the problem, or your burning option, or other factors we won't even get into, here. :)
On the subject of what we discuss here, check out the Announcement (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?s=&forumid=6), it's the first link at the top of the Newbies homepage and a "must read" for all new members. This doc will fill you in on what requests we can handle, and what members are allowed to help each other on. It's pretty simple, really, just don't bring us an issue that forces us to make a decision on whether or not the request is a legal one. Yours seems to be in the "gray" area, but if you live in a country where it's forbidden to make more than one backup copy of a disc that you legally own......See what I mean?
Good luck and enjoy the Doom9 forum!
