Backing up Elf, Getting Bitrate too high error

Hi this DVD is really making me crazy. This is the second time I've tried to do it and its messed up every time. This time I demuxed by VOBID because there were a lot of duplicate pcg's, and because the first time i tried to back it up I didn't demux by vobid and scenarist failed too. Scenarist gives me this error:

Error : Bitrate (9801600) should be equal or less than 9800000.

but in fact the file was encoded with this: max bitrate: 8968, average : 2200. Why am I getting this error then? Thanks!

Edit: all of my encoded files have this in the scenarist script:
Bit rate=8968000
Average Bitrate=2200000
Minimum Bitrate=4000000

why is that?

Actually, Scenaid set all the files for the script equal to the one DIF4U demuxed, not the ones I encoded. Weird. I changed them to the right names manually and now I get like 10 of these errors:

Error 'Cell:"VTS7_Title2_PGC25_PG1_C1"PGC:<VTS7_Title2_PGC25> (Title:<VTS7_Title2> VTS:<VTS_7>) ' does not have a scene. (Dummy Cell)


I will take a look at the Finding Nemo Guide but it sure looks daunting.

did 'use original assets' option in scenaid somehow turn on? if so, try turning it off and remaking the script. (hopefully a non-edited script will compile better. ) what region is it, btw ?

Oops somehow "use original assets" did get checked! It did import everything fine but I still get the error about the dummy cell in my previous post. The dvd is region one. Thanks

can you cut and paste the original ifo layout for vts7? I'll see if i can p/u elf today and try it out (although that would involve leaving the house which may be a task in itself ;) )

Ok...

The SCP is only scripting the first 22 cells / scenes in VOBID 3 which is wrong.... although I don't see any dummy cells for that particular vobid which makes it appear it's allocating those cells...

I'll add a couple debug log entries and send you a new version ot debug this....
