I have been trying to re-encode DVDs with DVD-RB and the latest QuEnc I can get an awesome picture but no sound.

When I used the CCE SP trial version with DVD RB I was able to play back the M2V files and to check them before proceeding. When I did I got sound but when I try the same thing using QuEnc no sound. I am not stripping out any sounds with DVD RB either.

I have tried setting sound to MP2 and AC3 in the Quenc settings, either way I get no sound.

Anyone here familiar with DVD RB + QuEnc combo that has any idea for a solution?

Thanks!

The M2V files are video only (same for all encoders). The sound is not integrated into the stream until the REBUILD. Up until that point the audio files remain resident in the original VOB files.

Oh! Ok,

I could have sworn I was getting sound from CCE Trial created M2V files via DVD RB, I just checked again and they do not have sound either must have been a rebuilt VOB I was watching not M2V then.

I will continue with my encoding, thanks!
