I encoded some movies as 2Gb pre-defined size. When I tried burning with Nero (DVD-ISO), Nero said the file was larger than 2gb and exceeded the ISO limit. File sizes were 2,152,169,472 and 2,153,123,840 and 2,150,684,672. Sholdn't the 2gb limit be 2*1024*1024*1024, or 2,147,483,648, which is smaller than what AutoGK is producing as 2Gb DVDR limit? What setting should I be using?
I'm using AutoGK 1.81 and latest xvid 1.1. I unistalled the old xvid before installing the new version.

Theoretical limit in 2GB mode used by AutoGK is 2047Mb or 2,146,435,072. Slight oversize was always acceptable when it comes to 1/2CD rips and in your case we have ~0.2-0.3% difference which was always there (its impossible to get dead on target size). But as you dicovered hard limit of 2GB is more sensible to that, so I think I can lower limit to 2040Mb instead.

If you burn DVD-UDF format in nero instead of DVD-ISO, you can put any filesize you want on the disc. It depends on what you're going to use to play back the disc. Win2k/XP and probably all future computer OS's can read UDF discs just fine, it's actually the native format of a standard pressed DVD. If you're using a HTPC to play your encodes, you can use larger filesizes and UDF formats without worry.
However, most stand alones CANNOT read UDF format discs (yet), so if that's your target player, you need to respect the 2gb file limit and ISO filesystem.

I did burn as UDF and my philips 642 standalone appears to play it (I fast fowarded through the DVD rather than normal play). However, I'd rather stick to ISO. Also, 2GB really should be 2GB - note that len0x fixed in 1.82 :)
