View Full Version : How do you decrypt the assets of a menu?

Hi there,

I'm trying to make a new version of an existing DVD. I've used DVD Decrypter to get the m2v and ac3 files from all the VTS's. But I haven't been able to extract the menu's. They're all still-image menu's without audio, so all I need are the still I-frames and the corresponding subpictures. I'll be redoing the DVD in either DVD Lab or Maestro.
Thanks in advance!

Yours,
Andra

an automated approach would be to use numenu4u (you can read about this program in the DoItFast4U/BatchCCE/ScenAid forum.

although it can perform a lot of tasks which you wil not be taking advantaged of (re-encoding the menu using CCE, creating a fully working Scenarist Script file for you, and even format conversion), one thing it WILL do is demux all the menu assets for you quickly and easily.

cheers

You need to use DVD Decrypter in "File Mode" to rip the the menus.

Probably easiest thing to do is to rip the whole DVD first (by copying ALL the files), then pick and choose the bits you want later in DVD Lab / Maestro

Thanks for the tips.
But when I get billions of files, where do I look for the menu files?

Andra
