DPI for PAL

Hello,

I'm working with Scenarist and my menu's are clearly flickering.
I am working with the PAL format with 72 DPI. I make my menu's with
Photoshop. Will it help when I will make my menu's with a highr DPI
e.g. 300 DPI.

Standard screen size is 720X576 for pal, have you tried selecting this size with pixels instead of dpi? May need to go a bit bigger due to overscan on the tv?

The flicker is caused by large differences in brightness between adjacent horizontal lines.
Use thicker lines and anti-aliasing to reduce the contrast.
