Does anyone know how to use Menuedit ?

I had a pal disc and it had lots of audio tracks

but i authored a new dvd with dvdlab and took out a lot of audio tracks,

BEFORE the audio tracks where like this:

0x80 English
0x82 German


And NOW the audio tracks are like this:
0x80 English
0x81 German.


The problem is on the MENU, on the language select menu, if i choose
german now nothing happens, because its on the 0x81 track now .I suppose it is looking on the 0x82 and finds nothing.

Does anyone know how to fix it using menuedit? there are lots of commands and i dont know wich one of them all i should use to change the menu setup to look for the 0x81 track

what if you click the button that used to select the 0x81 stream (no idea, which language it was, but lets say french)? will it select you german track?

if that's the case, just copy the command under the french button to your german button and you should be all set ;-)

but menuedit doesnt tell me any command.

When i select button1 for example, and then EDIT,
the command section is always LinkTailPGC (button 0)
and it is like that for all buttons un the menu so i cannot see the commands the buttons have

In menuedit, open the menu (VTS_XX_0.VOB) and find the VOBID that has the relevant button for selecting the audio (this is easy - Menuedit has a cell preview).

Now choose Edit and click on the up/down arrows next to edit to get the button you want. You will need to know in advance what you want the button to do - in this case, the stream selected needs changing - by what you have described, you need to change the highlighted button (ie swap them round). In other words, when you press button 1, reprogram it to set button 2, link Tail PGC (which means get out and jump to the post commands) and vice versa.

You could also set streams via a SetSTN command (stream 1 for button 1, stream 0 for button 2), jump tail PGC.

For example:

[51 01 00 80 00 00 00 0D] 2 (SetSTN) Set Audio stream = 0 ; LinkTailPGC If this doesn't work, you may need to program the buttons to jump to dummy PGCs where you can set the streams.

Don't forget to edit all groups of the various buttons concerned.

Sounds complex, but isn't really. Hard part is knowing what you want each button to do in "DVD programming speak".

The buttons you have deleted can be easily hidden using the delete function, so you will only be able to select, English and German.

Oh, BTW, ALWAYS backup your menu before using Menuedit - it makes changes directly to the VOB without backup.
