Hy,

I asked Pinnacle technical support about my IC8 wrong file size problem. Here is Pinnacle's answer (10 days later):

"This soft is not foreseen for this kind of application. Thank you"


It's quite poor for the Number 1 in video solutions. Thank you Pinnacle and welcome to DVD Shrink !

This is a pretty typical response from them. I think everyone pretty much has just given up on reporting any sort of issues to pinnacle as they pretty much just seem to ignore their users comments.

EDIT: If you havent yet I would give DVD Shrink a try. Its quite good. Probably even better than IC8, in almost every way.

Yes. A pet subject of mine so appologies in advance for following rantings

Pinnacle are without doubt the most incompetant bunch of halfwits in the industry today. I do not know how they manage to stay in business (especially this fast moving industry). Just read around the forums about the assorted crap that they churn out which to my amazement seems to continue selling. Their website looks like it was designed by the CEO's 4 year old son, you can't download trial versions properly (not that you would want to) and as for Customer support? Forget it. I am suprised you even got an answer, albeit looking like it was written by the aforementioned relation to the CEO.

This is a typical example of a company who thinks that its products are so utterly womderful that dealing with messy human beings is beneath them. I hope they go under, I hope its soon, and I hope very painfull for the incompetant arrogant individuals responsible.

Let's not buy their products and spped up progress towards this very desireable conclusion
