Guide: Stereo to 5.1 upmix using DPLII (2nd Ed.)
states
when using graphedit
And thus need to check "Channel Swap" and enter the following:
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Front left -> front left
Front center -> front right
Front right -> front center
Back left -> LFE
Back center -> back center
Back right -> back left
LFE -> back right
this gives me a 3.8GB 6 channel wav file.
now, sound forge won't handle nor will vegas 5.0 so I am in the position where I am unable to split it into a chunk small enough for besweet to then change it into six mono wav's
if I use besplit and the following command
besplit -core( -input 6channel.wav -prefix p:\ -type wav -demux )
this gives me 6 wav files.
the guides currently on doom9 confuse the heck out of me with the updates and post amendments.
does Besplits layout of besplit order
FL FR C LFE BL BR
match graphedits
FL FR C LFE BC BL BR
seeing as it produced a 6 channel wav. I assume that it would miss BC out when besplit does it's work.
this gives me six wav files labelled 01-06.wav which I can then encode using ac3enc in scenarist.
however, am I better off using bespilit to cut the big 6 channel wav into two parts and use besweet to do the 6 mono wav seperation?
