got a problam with ac3 playback (dont know if this the place for this...)

Hi, I got a really irritating problam with my family movies that are decoded with ac3. After I install ac3 (no metter what version) I go to the options and put in the red box in the picture: ''Loud''.

When the movie starts the audio is excellent, but after a few seconds some how the sound gets more quiet and when I go to that screen that is in the picture, the settings of ac3 its not on load!

I dont know what to do. its very irritatating, on other pc's I dont have problams with movies. I cant enjoy ac3 sound and only in mp3 decoded movies I can hear what ppl are saying.

Try rather than using the presets to set the gains manually in the 'gains' tab. You may also have to configure the AC3Filter settings from your player rather than from the start menu.

Also it might help to tell us what the source AC3 material is, DVD?

I just noticed, right below aLx8's highlighted box, that the input format is PCM, not AC3. This may be the root cause of the problem.
