Impression Pro will not accept mp2 files. I used to merely change the file extention in the save file as option of TMPG from mp2 to mpa but for some reason it keeps reverting to mp2. Once the file is created I don't seem to be able to access the file extention to change it.

Any idea how I can force the file to be .mpa or change the file extention manually please?

Yes but impression will not import the file if it says .mp2, it has to say .mpa

I didn't write the software - I just need the answer, desperately

Thanks anyway

There is NOTHING you could convert. If the program is that stupid, then rename your file!

Thats what I was asking, if it was possible to change the file extention manually.

And you are absolutely correct mon ami, the programme really IS that stupid.

It turns out the XP SP2 upgrade switched off my ability to view file extentions, I have found the option in Folder options to swith this facility back on.

It had to be something stupid like that....

Thank you everyone, stand by for next stupid question
