use dvddecrypter in IFO mode to extract each PGC (episode) seperately...

afterwards you can use whatever tool you'd like to convert it to avi. you might have to do some manual calculations to fit them on CD/DVD though...

I want to convert a episodic DVD to DIVX too. I am talking about 24 hours. I managed to rip the four episodes of each dvd to separate folders. The problem is that autoGK can create external subtitles only for the first episode of each DVD. There must be something wrong with ifo files of episodes 2,3,4 of each dvd, but not with episode 1. Anyone knows what to do?

Hi-

Take a look at the idx file (open in Notepad). My guess is that the subs for all the episodes are contained in that one idx/sub. So, if the first episode is 25 minutes long, then episode 2 begins after 25 minutes, episode 3 after 50 minutes and so on. The way to fix it is by inserting a negative delay equal to the length of the first episode, to play the subs for the second episode, a negative delay equal to ep1+ep2 for the third episode and so on.

Near the top of the idx it explains how to do it. You should be able to figure it out.

Just a guess, though, not having worked with the Seinfeld DVDs, but I have seen similar things with other episodic DVDs.

what idx file? When I rip an episode there is an ifo file in the hard disk and the vobs. Other people too are having the same problem with the subtitles. It must be a common issue about episodic dvd's and there must be some kind of solution...

You said you got subs for the first episode. They're in idx/sub format. Don't you have that?

And check out the FAQ that len0x pointed you to:
