can anybody help - Other users of the new Motorola Mobile A1000 are watching videos on their mobiles. I have uploaded Smartmovie Player software onto the phone which is working perfectly with two sample avi. files that came with the player.

I would like to convert my personal DVD's to be able to play them on the player on my phone. I have DVD decrypter and have encoded the DVD to my hard drive. I now need to compress these files to approx: 65-100MB for upload to the phone.

Is DVD2avi the software I need to convert and compress and can you give advice on settings.

@zappylady: DVD2AVI is just one piece of the puzzle. It is probably not what you are looking for since you haven't done this type of conversion before.

Look around. Read the guides here at Doom9. There is a LOT of info here at this website that answers many of the questions you'll have.
