i capturing from tvtuner, in winxp, (wdm) and i have noise looking like this.: (picture attached).. when i capturing with huffyuv @ 480x360 it's clear picture, But with PicVideo or Xvid or DivX at same resolution noise appears... but when i set resolution to 320x240 no noise in picvideo,, but remains in xvid.. On Preview Its ALlways clear, only on capture noise appears
on the other hand, on some channels (one or two of them), noise is veryy small, but on others it's like in picture-Big one--
i've tried other software as well, same sh't,
in win98, with virtual dub (vfw?=) the picture is clear with all codecs! so i gess it's not problem in pcconfiguration (AMD 1800XP, 256Ram,120GBhdd).. or it is? i have 3DeMon Tuner PV951 and company has closed so driver for winxp doesn+t exists, except 3rdParty,, they are ok,, or is it problem in them (support to WDM*)
i would capture in win98, but no support for ntfs,,
so anybody, Please, help,,
is there a problem in codec compatibility, or support, or what?

Try to capture at 480x576, I assume you are a PAL user. If not, try 480x480.

Huffy compression uses much less CPU time than PicVideo, DivX, or Xvid.

I've done a few captures with a Leadtek card, AMD 2000XP, using Leadtek's MJPEG
compressor, 80GB IDE drive, with no problem. I have not tried "on the fly"
compression using DivX or Xvid.

The WDM driver that you have may not be optimized for WinXP. Your card uses
the Bt848/Bt849/Bt878/Bt879 chip. You might try the BTWinCap drivers.
