How to use IfoEdit to properly link replaced VOB?

I've got a VOB which was modified by removing some of the GOPs. (TyTool will do this losslessly.)

The title will play but trying to move through the VOB using position sliders in software viewers will create problems because the IFOs don't account for the new length of the VOB.

How can IfoEdit be used to sense the proper length of the VOB and set the length fields appropriately?

Ever tried to do a mock strip (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84097)? You would've mentioned doing this if you did.

Yup, I tried those steps but I get a message from IfoEdit that there is no navigation information in the VOB. The VOB it creates is about 10k and look to be an empty stub.
