Hi folks,
Just a reminder that the new version of Plogue Bidule, v0.700 is now available for download at www.plogue.com. I've tested it with several surround setups and it works fine. The new interface and especially the window handling takes a bit of getting used to, but it looks great!
Enjoy!

Well the old guides and layout files work fine with the new version. Files created with the new version are not compatible with the old one, but then again, it has expired. I don't think this will be an issue with future upgrades since it's now possible to purchase a $75US license that will remove the expiry date for good.

another point could be: they always talking about to put the version 1.0 as commercial - we are now @ 0.700 (hope they won´t reach the 1.0 before 2012 :D )

Check their forum, their plan is to release version 1.0 sometime in 2005. At that point, there'll be a lite version that will basically contain all the features currently in 0.700 plus a few others. As I understand it, the $75 "early-bird" license key will work for this version at no extra cost. There will also be a super version with a bunch of other stuff (mostly stuff we don't currently use for surround processing) that will cost, according to them, "more than $75 but less than $300."
Anyway, I plan to buy the lite version at least since it's an amazing program and the developers deserve support, especially since they're very good at supporting their users and responding to requests, ideas, etc.
They have a very active and useful forum at www.plogue.com, so check it out.
Steve.
