Dvd player max bitrate limit

Does anyone now the vbr max limit for dvd players. I think it 9500 but I wondering a way to get the max bitrate out of your dvd player. As I have a video that only 2 mintures and is put on a dvd for support reasons. Dvd-r more supported then cd-r or mini-dvd. So I trying to find the best way to get max bitrate I was think maybe just a constant bitrate of 9500 or maybe ever more in cbr then vbr as vbr takes more cpu power. Just wondering as this is lnterlaced dv footage.

This has been covered before, anyway max video bitrate is 9800 kbit but that's usually a bit of an illusion because there is also an audio+video+subpicture limit of 10080 kbit.

It is possible that some players may not like such high bitrates on DVD-R though.

but my question is can u reach a higher bitrate on cbr then u can on vbr bsc vbr uses more power out of the dvd player. What would be a good cbr bitrate 10000?

Umm, the max compliant video bitrate at any given point is 9800.

Now ask yourself, is 10000 a larger number than 9800? ;)
