Frame selection window needs OK

Been using the latest DVD2SVCD for some time with D2Sroba add on. Works great. I also just recently installed the latest D2Sroba.

After starting a conversion DVD2AVI runs followed by the Frame selection utility. When this runs a window opens with a black center panel, frame selection info, etc. In order for the DVD2SVCD conversion to continue I have to press the OKAY button on this screen. If I do not nothing happens for hours. Once okay is pressed conversion continues without problems.

This has happened several times recently. Have never seen this before as DVD2SVCD always ran unattended.

Hoping someone can tell me what's going on and how to cure it.

BTW I also noted for the first time that when frame selection is running there is a pop-under ad for a casino in what appears to be dutch. Is this normal? Does not happen during any other phase of operations.

Hi,

Do you have 'frame selection' checked on the conversion tab. If so, then this is supposed to happen so you can select which frames to convert. If you don't want this to happen, then uncheck 'frame selection'.

DVD2SVCD does not contain any adware links.
At no phase of the process should any pop-up ads appear as a result of use of this software.

I recommend you download and run LavaSoft's AdAware SE.
It is free for personal use and should clear the cause of the problem. I am confident it has nothing to do with DVD2SVCD and removing any adware will not affect operation.

Thanks for both replies. Indeed I had the check on frame selection, took it off and runs fine.

Will get adaware and check out what and why it is happening. Only seems to come up when running DVD2SVCD.

Sometimes I need to remember to stay awake.

I ran Ad-aware on my system earlier today and also ran Spy-bot clearing out items.

Have not been on the net at all using the machine I convert with today.

Started a new conversion about an hour ago and the same ad as mentioned above showed up. Came up during the DVD2AVI phase so it seems not related to a specific module.

Have not seen this before or since the first occurance with any other operation on the system.

The only thing new added to the operation od D2S is the latest D2Sroba 3.77 module.

Another ad problem here.

I somehow damaged a file, so I reinstalled DVD2SVCD. I used the mobile.de mirror 2 link.

After I reinstalled, a window linked to the bottom of D2S ran ads.

I uninstalled, downloaded from the ebay mirror and reinstalled. No more attached ad window.

The exe install file sizes were different: 9,398,794 v. 9,391,301. Dates were both 8/31/2004, but times were different: 12:45 v. 14:33.
