Dolby Digital real-time encoder

I realize that the ac3filter version 1.01a RC5 supports real time encoding of WMA Pro 5.1 to Dolby Digital 5.1, but it has been pretty buggy on my PC.

Are there any other filters, free or commercial, that you have had success with? Are there any that are still supported?

I would suggest ffd-show. It can do AC3-Encoding in real-time like AC3-Filter RC5.

I tested only with stereo MP3, but everything worked out well.

You can even convert from 44100 to 48000 on-the-fly, which is really quite important for my soundcard! The inputmaterial for AC3-Encoding has to be 48000, otherwise you get an error message!

So get the latest ffd-show version and it should be what you are searching for...
