i have a intel 82810E graphics card and ctx capture card i keep on getting dropped frames how do i solve this problem? my monitor reasolation go's up too 1024 bye 768 pixels and my colors go from 256 colore to hight color (16 Bit) and go's up Trule Color (24 Bit)i'm real keep getting dropped from from all the programs on the program i tred out i don't know what settings i shuld put oh and my refresh rate go's from 60 Hz up to 85 Hz and my computer is 667Mhz i know it is close to 700 but i can capture i just keep getting dropped frames can some plz recommand some setting for virtualdub?

kurt-- jggimi isn't knocking your English skills, whether you're a native speaker, or not. When we use capital letters for the first word of a sentence and periods to end a sentence, it simply makes the information easier to logically sort. It's like a stop sign, when there are none around, you tend to run out into the middle of the intersection. Periods insert a "stop sign", giving the reader a chance to logically separate different segments into data that can be sorted more easily. At least, that's the way it works for my old, tired brain.

Bust your input up into pieces that are easier to digest....I'm choking here. :)

All I can tell, Kurt, from your post, is that you have a CTX brand capture card, that you're getting dropped frames, and that you hadn't, apparently, been through the FAQ yet. I've been speaking English for 50 years, and it took me 3 or 4 tries to figure that out.

I ask you to keep in mind that you have a global audience. All you need to do in order to communicate effectively is present your thoughts with that in mind. Try to keep misspellings and missing punctuation to the absolute miminum.

Now, have you been through the FAQ? Have you tried any of the suggestions in Q21 and 22?

Yes i have and i even tryed the sync for virtualdub it works greate but i want to know why i am still getting droped frams i did things like removied the other pci cards and put my resoluation to 800x600 and 256 colors that works and refresh rate to 85. For some resonas every time when i change the frame rate it seem to drop more or less i have not clue. it might be the compression or something.

PS every thing works greate after i used virtualDub snyc i told it to add the droped frames i don't know for sure if it worked.

Here's an example of what you might have meant by your last post:Yes, I've been through the FAQ. I have tried VirtualDub_Sync, but I am still getting dropped frames. I've removed other PCI cards, and set my resolution to 800x600/256 85Hz. For some reason, changing the frame rate seems to cause frame drops. Could it be my compression?

I am now using VDub_sync with "add dropped frames" and do not yet know if it will solve my problem.I do not know if this accurately descibes what you wrote. I'm a native English speaker, but I can't make heads or tails of your "works greate...am still getting droped frams" comment. If you're getting dropped frames, then it isn't working great.

Was what I wrote even close to what you meant?

Never mind i got it i for got to put the 800x600 256 colors and 85 Hz. Now the program works fine once i set those setting. I wish some1 told me sooner
