Encrypted VHS to DVD

If there is a guide on this I have not been able to find it.
So soory in advance if I am repeating anything.
I want to put an original VHS tape onto DVD but since it is encrypted I don't see how I can do it.
N.B. I own the video and it is no longer available so I want to preserve it on DVD.

Any help or advice gladly appreciated

Search using the keyword, "MacroVision" -- which is the name of the analog scheme used to copy protect VHS.
