I usually have to encode DV-avi sources instead of DVD-cpntent. Many of the post I red here are about the last one. Even if I think the job doesn't change, I would like to know if you can suggest me how pre-process dv-movies (like denoisers and, why not, script sample if you have!)

There shouldn't be big differences between a DV-AVI and a DVD source. DV clips are most likely truly interlaced so you'll have to treat them as such, and you'll find lots of valuable information on that subject by using the search.
