View Full Version : Very light colored subs in final project

Project: Starwars Episode1 Phantom Menace NTSC R1

I had my sub settings in scenaid to use original palette. But after watching final version of project in windvd, the forced subs (the only subs I care about) are very light colored, almost transparent colored. Is there anything I can do to fix this without reencoding my video? Or does anyone know why this happened?

Thanks

Hi,
i got the same problem for my 2 last backup of Deux Frères and Hero.
Subs appears orange with yellow edges. I used old vsrip/vsconv from DIF4U 1.4.7.
To fix this, you had to open your scneario in Scenarist, goto the "track editor" tab, select the track you want to edit, highlight the wrong-colored sub stream. Then click "tools->change color" menu. Untick the "change text color" box and change the color of your subs.
You might try the last vsrip/vsconv included in the last ScenAid release to rerip your subs. I don't use them because i have some probs with few backup that show the last sub until the end of the movie.

zeeter,

can you please check in the simulation window that your subs are indeed not shown correctly in scenarist. please check this thread for details of how to do this:
how to correct subpicture colours in scenarist (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80733)
which btw was accessible via the FAQ's thread/sticky at the top of this forum :sly:
if they look okay in scenarist, make sure you have 'Copy Colour Map' selected in batchifoupdate .... although this sounds like a transperency issue, not a colour one ...
