CCE hanging/crash when I load .avs file.

Hello

I had a serious system crash requiring a complete format & reinstall of everything.

I installed
DVD2AVI
Avisynth 2.0.8
cce 2.50 SP
MPEG2DEC.DLL

this is my old set up and stuck with it. However now I cannot load an avs file into CCE or it crashes. I have no clue what is wrong!:(

When I play the avs file in media player 6.4 it is fine, so I am confused.

Alternatively could someone recommend a better set up, either for quality or speed improvements, but no loss in either?

Any help much appreciated.

Is OK now thanks. Really strange as I had to uninstall avisynth 208 and cce. then reinstalled cce and then 207 and all is well now.

weird I have been using the old set up for a few years with no probs.

Is there any specific reason not to use the faster AVS2.5x branch? AVS2.0x is old tech;)
