bob deinterleacers?

What the point of useing them other then normal deinterlacers like tommocomp kernal etc. What with 60 fps? WOuldnt doubleing fps make no difference in perfornace.

1) it gives higher quality.

2) yes, you need a faster PC for playback.

@gavo: for serveral purposes one needs fullframerate deinterlacers (boobers), that output 59.94 or 50 fps.

the reasons are:

- standards conversions
- deshaking
- video restauration (denoising and all that stuff)
- visual smooth and pleasant video of course only with those refresh rates for your display:
PAL: 50 / 100 / 150 Hz
NTSC: 60Hz / 120 Hz
everything else will stutter.
