Hi,

Already bugged D3s7 about this, but apparently it's not a Scenaid issue :rolleyes:

So what happens is that when importing the script into Scenarist the timecodes (of the mpv's) in the script are off by 1 frame. The real mpv's are 1 frame shorter.
This happens with the Big 3 (batchcce controls cce) as well as with Numenu solo (numenu controls cce)

So I'm starting to think this is a CCE issue.
Currently working with 2.67.00.09

Also
dif4u 1.4.7 -> scenaid final -> batchcce 0915b

check the ecl files created by cce and see if the framecount is correct.

1 of the ecl files:

[file]
name=N:\da2-04\VTS01\VTS__01_P01.I-TFF.16~9_1.AVS
type=0
frame_first=64127
frame_last=64127
encode_first=0
encode_last=64127
etc...

Framecount is consistent with that of the original M2V

Same for the other video streams

Still the mpvs are shorter

Maybe some corrupt dv2avi projects?

Are you saying that the encoded mpv matches the m2v in frame length, but when imported by script it is short a frame? if so.. is it the correct length when placed into scenarist manually? (import the original and the encoded files manually and see if the durations match the length that they were imported by the script. Look at the data file as the track duration will be a frame longer) .

could you give some examples? are you pal or ntsc?

Hi, I'm in PAL land
The mpv is really shorter than the m2v
The script and everything else is correct, just the mpv output is wrong.
When in Data Editor I do Data -> Place Holder -> Data I can see the time code change 1 frame shorter

anything else I can check ?

hmm.. i cant duplicate that.. all of my files are the same size.. i did data->placeholder->data and no change

are you using hte dvd2avidg ? that might help if not.. old dvd2avi was notorious for dropping the last frame (read the dvd2avidg readme) other than that im not sure what to say.. im unable to duplicate what you are finding

DVD2AVIdg is selected in DIF4U and has always been

very odd indeed
anyway, it's not such a big thing, that 1 frame doesn't make the difference
