View Full Version : How to calc overhead for multiple audio tracks?

I'm looking for advice on how to properly calculate overhead for muxing in multiple audio tracks. I've had generally good luck with XviD's built-in bitrate calc for a single audio track, but I've just discovered that my standalone can switch between audio tracks on the fly (lovin that!), so I'm going to start adding commentary tracks into my backups. But filesize may still be an issue.

Thanks,

Hi-

GKnot can calculate video bitrate and audio overhead when using 2 audio files. I use it all the time when adding Commentary tracks to my AVIs.

Thanks ... but I don't use GKnot. Is there another standalone calc that I could use without installing all of GKnot?

This is one of many bitrate calculators (http://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm) that can be accessed via a generic search. If this one doesn't suit your needs, run a search and see what you come up with.
