Let's say I want to combine scenes from different movies, and hence different discs. Right now, I'm most comfortable with DVD shrink. I'm not doing anything complicated, just burning from a DVD drive (or from there to hard-drive) to an external DVD burner. Everything is working good, but obviously I'm NEW at this. So, most of what I've done so far has just been in line, automatic, burn one disc to another, and Shrink has commanded it all through Nero. I assume with what i'm wanting to do now that I need to create multiple ISO files to harddrive, and then burn them all together, when I have it complete? Would someone mind walking me through this or direct me to appropriate guide. (I don't see exactly what I'm trying to do in DVD shrink guide.) Thanks much!

OK, I tried on my own, and created 3 separate ISO files on my C drive. Then I opened Nero to burn image, it seemed to only let me choose one file, so I did thinking I could come back and burn each of the other 2 after. (It would seem to me that this is where I went off course; won't it let you choose 3 files to burn?) It looks like it burned the one, and then closed out the disc. I'm sure it's pretty simple, just missing a command or something??

Take a look at DVDShrink's Compilation Guide (http://dvdshrink.info/compilation.php). This should clear up some of your questions.

Thanks, that's helpful, BUT as I follow that guide, the 3 .ISO files will not show up. I know they are there, but they are not being recognized. I don't see the command for "all files", obviously it is looking for files in some other format. Any help, please? Should I rename these files? to what extension? or is that not it? Thanks

Can anyone help? I'm assuming that I messed up a little bit, because I created my ISO files a little differently than the guide shows, but they are ISO files, nonetheless, and the one I burned works fine. I'd just like to be able to burn all 3 to same disc with out starting over.
Thanks

unfortunately you wont be able to burn 3 .iso images to the one disc as is. you want to create a compilation that results in one .iso image, not 3. that is where the link that ammck55 pointed you to will help.

to get shrink to recognise the .iso images, you will need to mount them into a virtual dvd player eg daemon tools (use google to locate)

cheers

I posted this question once before and was referred to DVD shrink guide; which was helpful, but it didn't cover one step very well. As far as compiling scenes from various movies onto one disc, the guide is clear from the point of having your files ready to go. But I'm struggling in creating them to begin with. I burned to an iso, but then I couldn't compile them; so I burned to hard disc folder, where it automatically creates video and audio folder, but I can't seem to put any additional files there. Can someone please help? THX
