View Full Version : email address to try if I'm not getting VIP versions?

Sorry to clutter the forum with this.
I was getting VIP versions, then double copies (I'd donated a couple of times) and was afraid to say anything because I might get completely taken off the list.
Looks like I'm off it now, anyway, because I haven't seen 0.67 and would like to re-try some DVDs with it.
I've tried sending an email to DVD-RB@comcast.net (the email associated with the paypals I've sent) but no response - and that's likely the wrong place to have been sending requests for this kind of help. Anyone know the right place? Thanks!

I realize that you're kidding - but I have been donating - and will continue to do so whether I get VIP editions emailed to me or not.
I've a couple of DVDs that exhibited the audio dropout problem on my Panasonic player and would like to try .67 to see if the change(s) make my Pan happy. I'm usually overloaded with stuff, but just got through with a project, had time to test, read the board here and realized that I should have a copy of .67 somewhere in my mailbox - only I don't :(

did you make sure no spamfilter is blocking possible incoming mails?

I can tell you that I have sent a copy to every single person who was ever on the VIP list at least once. I have gotten a couple of rejections -- but have always then sent an e-mail informing the address that I got a rejection. In at least one instance the rejection notice was also rejected.
Make sure you know what e-mail address you used when registering with PayPal. I've had a couple of people who had forgotten the address they'd used, and then went back to that mailbox only to find it was delivered a long time ago.
It also seems that gmail.com is hit-or-miss. I've had to resend several of those addresses.
Specifically to your address I sent a copy at 8:41am on the 7th and again at 6:51pm on the 12th. I will try again now... if your provider is blocking it you'd think you would at least get a notice.

I got the emails with the links but not the ones with the attachments.
Very strange.
My only spam-filtering is something called PopFile - which doesn't delete anything, just adds a header field which I use in my email reader to sort into a "probably spam" folder. I check there daily, too.
Oh, wait - is this being distributed as an EXE? It's possible that might be being filtered out "higher up" an an anti-virus measure... I'll go check out our neighborhood email server
In any case, the second link worked fine - thanks muchly!

It's distributed as a .ZIP file that contains an EXE.
