When I'm burning a back-up with DVD shrink , and the movie size is such that it doesn't need to shrink it at all, is there any benefit to doing the deep analysis and/or using the high quality adaptive error compensation? I'm just doing a straight burn from a DVD drive to an external DVD copy drive. Thanks. AND- Is Shrink the best program to use in this instance??

i can see no reason to use deep analysis in this instance as you are not transcoding the video.

personally i would use DVD Decrypter in 'ISO-read' mode to image the disk to my HD, then 'ISO-write' to burn that image to a blank DVD-/+R.

iirc correctly there are programs avaliable that will burn directly from one source drive to your burner without creating any files on your HD but personally i wouldnt take the risk that something could go wrong in the process.

cheers
