Hello,
I have ripped several DVD's to my HD and converted tehm to AVI files using Gordian Knot. This has worked flawlessly for .VOB files. When the DVD contains .M2V files I can't demux the audio files so I end up with a .avi movie with out any audio. How is the audio stored in the .M2V files and how do you demux that audio?

Thanks

An m2v file is a graphics only file containing just the video information and should have an asscoiated audio file of a similar name. Eg a file called MyFilm.m2v would usually have its audio in the file MyFilm.mp2 or even MyFilm.ac3.

That`s why there is no sound in your m2v file.

a *.vob, when demuxed, will contain a *.m2v & *.ac3 files (results may vary)

i don't know why a dvd has a *.m2v files on it; but that's strange (i guess)

to clarifield:

m1v,m2v = video only
