Hi

I have authored a dvd a with DVD Lap Pro. The dvd plays fine but I can't seek forward to any time on the dvd. I opened up the VTS_01_0 file with IfoEdit and checked the VTS_TMAPTI and it seems to be missing a lot of data. There's only 28 entries in the time map. For a 2 hour movie I'm sure there should be a lot more. Is there any way to fix this and keep all the original menus?

Hey, that was me on the other thread. I thought that it was the subtitles that was causing the problem but it turned out it wasn't. It could be a bug with DVD Lab Pro. it's very weird the time map table is practically empty. I even tried authoring the dvd without any menus and still the same problem occured. I know how to fix the time map table with ifoedit but only for the movie, I don't know how to do it with all the menus too.

Since menus don't have time maps you should be all set then.

Ooops :o I was ill yesterday so was probably less observant than usual.

Out of interest, how do you fix the time map table in IFOEdit?

To fix the time map table with ifoedit you simply click on the "vob extras" and select create new ifos. The problem is it leaves out the menus which are stored on the VTS_01_0 vob file. So the movie plays fine but there aren't any menus.

I see, you *might* be able to use IFOUpdate to transfer the time map table(s) from the ifoedit ifo(s)->dvdlab ifo(s).

jsoto wrote a small utility called tmapti that i believe may be useful in your situation to create a new TMAPTI table.

unfortunately it seems it is no longer on his webpage.

i would suggest contacting him via mail/pm. if that fails pm me your email address as i have a copy here i could send you.
