I tried three times, I get always same result.

At 97.5% of final step (rebuilding) of a Simpsons DVD I own. (97.5% VTS_07, segment 2, vobid: 1, cellid: 1)

"DVD Rebuilder experienced a buffer overflow. Error #0003. Process must abort."

Any idea? Want any other info?

Tnx.

It would also be interesting to know if you used an old version of DVD Decrypter, or the latest.

Latest version available.

With some earlier version('s) of DVD Decrypter you would sometimes find a mini vob, where the encryption had not been removed, this would give the error you got, and usually at the end of the rebuild.

I didn't try special error processing, I tried now and it worked... BUT now it got oversized! :'(

JDobbs put in some code in a earlier version, to try to elimenate the Error #0003 & 0004, it gave other problems, and was added as the special error processing optition in the next version.

good to see the special error processing worked for you.

how much oversized?

load the ini into rb-opt and hit global options.. it will tell you the target size. Can you tell us what the target and final sizes were?

you sure you did change language options between prepare and rebuild phase? if you did you can just rebuild again.

Did you re-run the whole process or just the Rebuilding step?

If the last, it can be that you forgot to exclude an audio stream that has been excluded when you run the encoding the first time.

During the Prepare step RB calculates the bitrate for the encoding based on the available space after deducting the menus and audio streams you want to keep.

If you deselect some audio streams manually, it allocates that space to the video. But if you close and then open RB, the audio streams you have deselected manually came back as selected again. And if you do not run the prepare step agqain (or deselect again the audio), the output will be oversized as the encoding will use the bitrates calculated when the audio was deselected.

ps: well, while I was posting jptheripper was providing ahint in the same direction:)

Well, I reencoded everything using Special Error Processing and worked just fine, even the size.

Thanks all of you!

hi i'm getting this buffer overrun thing as well in the final rebuild step but mine is happening in the first 10% i've tried 4 different movies now, first was with the version before 0.66a and the other 3 attements has been with the .66a version i've only just recently gotten a dvd burner so am still very new to the dvd backup scene, (but i have done alot of movies with gordianknot and other programs doing divx rips but just none as full proper dvd's) i have done a few movies with dvd2one with ease but of course would much rather use something that will give better quality results like rebuilder

i am allso using the newest dvddecrypter ripping in file mode and cce 2.66 basic

any help in the right direction would be great
