Hi,

All of my raw dv footage is having 2-3 pixel wide greenish/blueish vertical bar at the left edge.
Same footage, when viewed at TV is OK.
Find the sample frame attached, forgive the interlacing.
Here are the facts:
- NTSC, sony dcr-trv19
- probably unrelated to the problem: no dropped frames during dv download, codec is sony 2.23, same output when dv is dumped from the camera using Vegas or simple dvio...

Any comments appreciated,

Bob

Your attachment will appear once bb, the DV forum moderator, approves it.
You probably don't see those pixels on a TV because they fall into your TV's overscan area.

Did you ever find out what was causing your problem? I am having a similar problem, but the vertical red/greenish line is on the right side of my video, captured using firewire and WinDV (I have also tryed microsoft moviemaker).
Camera: Sony HC-24

It is present in all of my recodings and it doesnt show on tv when viewing the tape directly from camera.
x= 711-713 red-ish 714-716 green-ish

Thats normal - its recorded as such on the tape. Just ignore it ;)
