text problems with TMPGenc, but not with Adobe MPEG Encoder

I have a TMPGEnc encoded file that I used to create a DVD. The DVD plays without problems on all players except one. In the file, I had used Premiere 6.5 to add some opening and closing credits. The problem is that the one DVD player will not show any text in the opening credits -- just a black screen. Then, the regular video goes along okay, until the ending credits (some stills with text at bottom). I'll see the first still and text at the bottom, but then everything freezes except for audio, and then finally the rolling credits start for a couple of seconds, and then freeze too, with audio continuing along fine.

I used TMPGENC to do the encoding. Tried different methods too, all
with same results (VBR, VBR with 2K min., 6K CBR, 4950 CBR, 7950 CBR). Then I decided to try another encoder, Adobe MPEG Encoder with Premiere 6.5. That worked perfectly.

I'd prefer to use TMPGEnc, but I'd like to know what I need to change to get it to work. I can compare my settings that I used with Adobe MPEG Encoder, but I don't really know what I should be looking for or changing.

I'll list my Adobe MPEG settings, and maybe someone will be able to suggest what I should change in TMPGenc. Thanks.
