Access violation dvd2svcd.exe

Hi, I have been having a problem with an access violation in dvd2svcd. It occurs when extracting the ac3 files if I read the log correctly. I have successfully encoded with dvd2svcd but this problem popped up a few weeks ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I should add the the Norton Protection is deactivated (it was installed along with Norton Antivirus 2004 Pro) and it always worked together with Norton in the past. I can click the error message away and dvd2svcd works along merrily but in the end i have an out of sync audio stream

I am running on a Thinkpad R50 1.5 Centrino w/ 1gb Ram.
