View Full Version : Possible little solve around for audio dropouts for pioneer players

Hi people.....so i have read in the rebuilder forum that most of the people who have a pioneer player get the audio dropouts. This is for some versions of pioneer players true. I have the 626 pioneer and i get the audio dropouts:(. However there is a way to go around this. You can demux the final product of dvd-rb and the remux it with another tool like scenarist. Now this works like a gem.

I tried it with single pgc dvd's and it works like a charm. However i have a little problem with multi pgc dvd's. Now for that i thought i should try doitfast to remux and then simply use reauthorist to create the scp file....however....in scenarist when i want to remux i get an error "place holder" ....anyways i also have tried scenaid and its the same......

Any ideas..on how i should go about demuxing and remuxing multipgc dvd's really quickly ..without too much hassle.....maybe a small guide on how to demux and remux quickly for people who might have this audio glitch problem would be great. Do not forget when you demux with dvd decrypter the sub files and the dummy files cannot some how be imported into scenarist or dvdlab pro or meastro directly! Dont know why but i get errors. Helpppppp .....:)

Any ideas are welcome guys!

Hi Caprioles9000

Your suggestion has been already indicated by others [AS WORKAROND FOR DROPS]. If I remind, one of them is MscAlex. This (I mean using Scenarist, alone or in connection with some variants of the big three) has some limitations due to the Multiangle, and the BOV...

Even as a workaround, I'd say, it is by sure not working in all situations...

Hi Sir Didymus,

I just searched for that thread from MscAlex...but cannot find it :( ...anyways ...the dvd's that i was planning on demuxing and remuxing .....are not multiangled maar multipgc .....i believe that those are two different things are they not! And can you explain what you mean by BOV :) Hmm so that i know what it is for the next time :)

Sorry Caprioles9000, in this moment I am really a little bit in a hurry...

The right name of the person is Msc_Alex (my memory was faulty in my previous post...)...

If no one of the guys here will help you in pointing you out towards the right threads, this evening I will give you some further indications. Me to I did some testings using Scenarist in the Thread "Dropouts - Jdobbs don'bother reading for now", but I say again: maybe it will be useful for solving your own punctual problem, but it isn't a general solution, even as a workaround...

Cheers,
SD

I have a Pioneer (DV-360), and I've never noticed dropouts in my backups.
Anyway, if I should use DI4U, I'd used Big3 without DVD-RB.
I think the purpose of DVD-RB is to avoid using many programs to perform a backup!

Yes Robot 1

Thats is true.....however ...what i am trying to do is to find a temporary way to solve the audio glitches. I have many dvd's which have been backed up with the earlier versions of dvd-rb ....now they play fine on other players but not on mine ..so hwta i am trying to do is demux them and remux them so that i can get rid of this audio drop out problem.

However this becomes a problem with series dvd's which have multiple pgc's ...and when i use doitfast 4 u to demux it and right after that scenaid to create the scenarist file....i get errors in scenarist......this is the same when i use reauthorist to create the scenarist file....i get "place holder error" when i want to compile the imported files! Now the question is am i missing somehting or doing something wrong ...or this whole idea of using the big three without rencoding (so just demux and remux) is not possible!

This is what i need help with now. Cause i simply do not want to throw ther dvd's away nor do i want to burn them with glitches. Eventually i am sure that Jdobss will come with a great solutions. As many have said and so have i DVD-RB rocks.....this thread is not about dvd-rb making mistakes its about ..finding a temporary alternative solution to get rid of the glitches (which only some people with some players get) :) Jdobss again my hats of to ya..great tool:)

Thanks Didymus for remembering my post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=554638#post554638)
And you can do this trick with mutiple PGC with Maestro.
But you are better off using RB 0.67 with your originals, or did the dog eat them ? ;)
By the way, only had the problem with my Starwars colection and 0.64

Hey Msc_Alex...just read your post ..so just to be clear .....wmansir is saying use RB to rebuild the files again!. Hmzz...ok but what you wrote in your post is that you used doitfast4u an the old fashioned way ...so you did not use wmansirs way at all......how did you use doitfast4u ....just the standard way it is in big3 ..could you elaborate ..explain your steps.....i use the old method...what i did was to take the final dvd-rb files ...demux them with doitfast and the just use reauthorist to create the scp file..that gives errors when i want to compile.....same thing with scenaid.....i get error when i want to compile .....so if you could tell your steps that would be great ...

Greetzz.

Well i tryed wmansirs way but it didn't work for me. I would like to stop this thread because it's (hopefully) not a problem anymore.

We are testing RB to get it working, not a workaround.

how do you know if a dvd has only a single pgc tileset? i dont know much about remuxing or authoring and such. What program do you use again to do this?

@jdobbs: Nope i ahve not tried vesrion 0.67 yet...hihii i am not a vip member yet :) but will take a peek when it comes out..

@gizzin... When you download doitfast4u ...you can see that a VTS can be made from amny pgcs...for example a series dvd might have 4 episodes under one VTS ..and this will be then 4 pgcs......if you want to learn more ...go to the guides section ..beacuse its not really easy to explain it just like that... I read all the guides...and have been busy with this for more than 2 years :)....takes time :) Good luck

@ All i guess that this thread can be closed.....since i was looking for a small go around for my own problems....This will not create an overall solution for the dropouts ...but might be informative for new people. This to all of you for the answers and tips & tricks provided :)

If you don't have 0.67 -- wait for it. If you do have it -- try it. It has been reported to fix this.
