if this doesnt make sense to you, do you know if theres a way to clear out every MPC registry setting and put it back to default?

when i open a 16x9 divx file MPC properly displays the aspect ratio in the window, but when it goes fullscreen it stretches it to 4x3. i know if i go to VIEW / VIDEO FRAME i can change the stretch options, but if i put it on 'normal' when i go fullscreen it just puts black around the window (still displaying in its actual frame size, not filling up the screen)

plays fine in WMP 10

any help is mucho appreciated =]

uh, do you mean stretch the VOB to a certain aspect ratio? Because you can't really change the aspect ratio of the video.. you can change the flag which makes the player resize things differently, but in my experience the flag in the IFO matters and overrides the AR flag in a VOB.

Media Player Classic has built-in aspect ratio presets that can easily be accessed. For instance, I have a 16:10 screen and if I play 4:3 letterboxed content, it's only being screteched to 1600x1200 rather than fill the full 1920x1200. But I can create a preset that would stretch the movie to the full width. Is that about what you're looking for?

Regards.
