Please bear in mind that I'm a total Noobie.. I'm not familiar with any of the ripping programs.

I've been trying to rip a DVD which contain both Video and Audio. i only want to rip Audio so that I can burn it into a CD and play it with my portable CD player. What I did is basically following the instructions of vstrip. Sonn I found it didn't work. vstrip could not read the IFO file. I've tried others like DVD decrypter and smartripper, but I cannot specifically rip the audio files.

Which application whould I use and what do I have to do with that?

use dvd2avi 176 command line.....guide: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvd2avi.htm
don't bore about the video parameters(frame rate, forced film, etc),are irrelevants for your case cos you only want the audio!

download the file from here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59272
