Hello,

I want to make a dvdwith all of Jet Li's fight scenes from diffrent movies back to back or take deleted scenes and put them back in the film where they belong. Or take out annoying things like Jar-Jar in SW ep1 all while maintaining dvd quality and 5.1 surround. Any ideas on a good programs or group of programs that can do this.

I read over the threads and didnt see anything, if I missed it I am sorry. So I guess I am looking for a good DVD edit tool. If you know of any guides that will help it would be greatly appreciated!

thank you,

Krunker

The only way I could see you doing it would be long and you would lose some quality compared to the dvd as you would have to rip the dvd to your pc with mpeg mediator, to get an avi, then edit out the bits you don`t want using virtualdub mod and then convert to mpeg2.

Another way would be to edit the vobs directly via avisynth and virtualdub and save the clips you want in uncompressed format. No quality loss as such but you`d need a huge hard drive!

Easiest way is, if you have a standalone dvd recorder, hook up your dvd player or pc to the video input and simply capture the scenes direct. Pause the record while changing your source material of course but then you`d have one big dvd of all the bits you want :)

I've done something like this using DVD Shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.info/) in reauthor mode to grab scenes from movies and make a compilation DVD. You end up with a DVD with a bunch of titles. It plays back just fine in my set top DVD player. I am now trying to figure out how to go about adding a menu to the DVD. But if you don't care bout a menu, DVD Shrink is fast and easy and maintains the original audio and video, even subtitles if desired.
