This is not an audio encoding question but IMO it needs some in-depth knowledge of digital audio and CDDA, that's why I posted it in the audio encoding section (mods please feel free to move it to "General Discussion" if you don't like it here)
A friend of mine gave me a copy of his band's latest live gig - unfortunately the CD was burned in TAO mode. Some of the tracks are supposed to be contiguous, so I asked him to burn it again in DAO mode, it turned out his master disk had been burned in TAO mode as well :rolleyes:
Now I was very happy to find a "correct TAO images" option in Exact Audio Copy (0.95 pre-beta 5), but it didn't work perfectly on all the tracks. On two contiguous tracks there's still a crackling noise at the brake and some samples seem to be missing. Is there a 100% perfect way to repair the CD or is EAC's repair option the best I can get?
