converting a dvd from PAL to NTSC?

is this possible, and how do i do it?

i have a killer live faith no more concert dvd from europe. It plays great on my computer, but i want a copy to play on my regular dvd player and be able to copy it for friends. Does anyone know how to convert the dvd and re-burn it on dvd.

if anyone has done this or knows how please let me know

unfortunately it appears that during your 5 day waiting period you failed to do any reading ... particularly in regards to the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) 1) Read up before asking! There are tons of guides, FAQs and each forum has a dedicated Q&A thread with additional info.

1a) Use the search function before posting. Chances are your question has already been answered.if you had used the search button youwould have easily found many threads discussing PAL/NTSC conversion

but more importantly ...6) No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature, asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated. i can think of no circumastance where 'be able to copy it for friends' would be covered by fair-use ...

hmm... when will NTSC land get with the times. Multi-format TVs have been mainstream in PAL land for about 10 years (maybe more?).
however, assuming those copies ARE offsite backups, you can use avisynth to convert anything to anything. just don't re-encode the sound if you can help it, because that'll mess it up badly and spoil the music. try to make sure the NTSC copy is exactly the same speed (but at a different frame-rate, of course) and use the sound from the PAL copy.
