Hi.
Welcome to the forum.
You are doing an AVI2DVD conversion with "Do not convert audio" checked in the Audio tab. This means that the video will be converted to DVD-compliant video but the audio will be left as-is.
This option is there because the conversion process loses quality. So if your source AVI has DVD-compliant audio, you can leave it untouched. However, if your AVI has audio that is not DVD compliant and you check this box, the process fails.
Only check this box if you are sure the audio is in a compliant format, otherwise let DVD2SVCD convert it for you.
As for what to do, the easiest way is to uncheck the box and start again. However, there may be a quicker way.
Launch DVD2SVCD and uncheck the "do not convert audio" box.
In the Misc tab, set a new default output folder.
Load up your AVI in the conversion tab and start the conversion.
As soon as TMPGEnc starts, close it down and close DVD2SVCD.
Now go into your new output folder and find the file "Encoded_Audio_1.mp2"
Copy and paste this to your original conversion folder.
Now find the file "dvd2svcd project file.d2s" and open it in Notepad.
On the 5th line, change the line
MP2FileName0=.....\Encoded_audio_1.mpa
to
MP2FileName0=.....\Encoded_audio_1.mp2
and resave it.
Now launch DVD2SVCD and hit "recover" in the Misc tab.
When the window opens to select a project file, browse for the one in your ORIGINAL project folder.
In the dropdown box on the misc tab, select to crash recover from muxing and cutting.
Let the process finish. The only possible flaw is that if the audio encoded by DVD2SVCD is larger than the source audio, your disc image may be oversized. To avoid this, when you do the dummy run to encode the audio, choose a low bitrate.
If you cannot get acceptable audio quality without the image being oversized, you might have to start again.
HTH

Cheers m8 think i may do it again as its my first time with Tmpg.
I will save the other duff folders and have a go later.
After your post i remembered that i unchecked the thing u mentioned when i did another avi to dvd conversion with CCe. but couldnt cope with the logo.
so i tried with the tmpg.
I am almost certain that the coversion didnt take 36 hours for the encoding. But this time with TMPG its 36 hours or longer ?.
I think it was about 12 hours is TMPG slower ?
does clone dvd or other programs that you can get do all this quicker ?
I also tried to do it with the other encoder , i think its called QUe or something, But that encoder crashed my comp and my registry dissapeared, and because i couldnt get it to fix itself , it was a format c job.
but i had just replaced my hard drive with another, and copied 1 HD to the other, cant remember the name of that program but it was a dos program.
I could go on and on with possible reasons but im running out of space in the post box.
last question, is it best just to pay for CCE ?.
because out of the 3 prgrms ive used that was ok apart from the logo'
thanks any way for ur help and i will use both options.
1 more , could u tell me which encoder u use.
Ok mate thanks again, the more i Write the more questions i get
see u in round 2 lol
Cheers.
If i try to fix it the way u mentioned, IE changing command lines and the like, will i have to put them all back the next time i do it with Convert Audio, ? or will it sort itself out.
ps Is it ok to dump everything in the dvd2svcd Movie folder to get the HD space back ?

When its done ( if its done ) Do i put this into DVD2SVCD or do i do it some other way ?.
sorry had to ask that as i am already 17 hours in lol
thanks again.
Last but probably not?. Whats with all the Aspi files, dvd decrypter has them on the site, tmpg , nero, ? the only winaspi files i know are adaptec/Ricoh because i used the adaptec Program easy cd creator to save files to cd., so i updated them is that ok ?

What it your computer?
Anyway... you should try DSRoba+CCE method... you'll never get that kind of wasted time anymore...
