Hey, I'm kind of confused as to how I should go about deinterlacing a video source I'm working with. The source is weird (it's the 2nd season of Aqua Teen Hunger Force), it's all at 29.97fps, but most of the footage is progressive, while some of it is interlaced. I'd like to have the end result be 29.97, deinterlacing only what it has to, but I really don't know how to go about doing this aside from manually selecting the parts to deinterlace myself.
Is there some sort of filter that can smart-deinterlace this stuff? Basically only deinterlace something if it detects that it is interlaced? I remember something like that for hybrid film/NTSC DVD's, but this is different since I'm not dealing with film framerates.
