I'd say their servers are hopelessly swamped. Ping still gets through, but httpd hasn't reacted for hours.

These are links i have found on a news site in which you can use until the mozilla servers are less overcrowded.
Has any one seen the FireFox ad in New yourk Times? any images?

After downloading the update, I had the immediate disappointement of the indispensable Google-ripoff toolbar not working with the new version. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, with plugins breaking with new versions.
Still, if you use IE, you need to swtich.

As of 1.0 the plugin structure should be set till the 2.0 versions. Everything written after 1.0 for 1.0 should work no problem. And even after that it is highly unlikely 2.0 will be incompatablewit 1.0. ;) Guess I am lucky though cause all my extensions worked just fine.
And who needs the Google-ripoff toolbar when the new default start page is google-fox er fire-google and you can search google from the URL bar? :P J/K

One minor bug that I have noticed so far. When firefox is first launched and you click the address bar it will not go down till it is clicked again.
Once again I'm waiting for Qute to be updated for the 1.0 release. I hope it is soon :).

@BoNz1:
Dont have that problem, address bar shows up from click 1.
@sirber:
Some of the extensions needs a update to work in FireFox 1.0. Just give the developers a bit time to make the needed changes. AFIK the changes were needed to patch some security flaws in the extensions, so it is for the better :)
btw you want be able to update anyway. the update servers are currently overcrowded. Caint get on the servers at all.

It may just be a problem with the default theme. Dunno, it certainly is a bug though.
