Hi - How good is the support of 'Global Motion Compensation', 'Quarter Pixel',
and 'Adaptive Mulitple Consecutive B-Frames' in actual stand-alone DivX-players?
I would like to buy such a device for X-Mas.
A reasonably good support for sub-titles would be nice too (Indeed i'm absolutly not familar with this).

Are there brand-devices on the market that are able to handle that all?

Edit:
Cool, a partial answer i just have found in 'Useful page for details on Players (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85022)'

If we only speak of DivX then there are 2(3) chipsets with full support of all features, the Mediatek 1389, the Zoran Vaddis 7 chipset and the one used in Sonys new divx players (but i think its just uses a relabeled Mediatek)

Currently no player can play Xvid+GMC, the Sony does not play Xvid at all.

Brand-players with these chipsets are for example Philips 720SA,Yamaha 550,Pioneer 575 (Mediatek), Sony DVP-NS765P,DVP-LS785V,DVP-NS955 (Sony), Samsung 745,945,244 (Zoran)

Biggest problem are the subtitles.
Sony dont support them at all, Yamaha has pure white text, Philips black transparent border around white transparent text, Samsung a transparent black bar with white text. Dont know how the Pioneer look like.

You should also have a look at the upcoming new Sigma chipset with may outperfom the others.
