Hi guys !

I wonder if there is such filter, that would make my
movies (especially live concerts) look ALIVE?
You know what I mean?No?
The effect has to be the same when for example we enable "Use hardware
decode acceleration" in WinDVD.
This feature is absolutely amazing!

I would be extremely happy if there is any possibility to emulate
that "decode acceleration" in Avisynth

There may be such a filter  , but if you want more help try posting a captured frame with and without the WinDVD setting (assuming you can grab frames w/ WinDVD).

I think he mean the sort of interpolation that some TV/DVD player software do, and it's a simple bob that double the framerate (25i>50p or 30i>60p), resulting in a more "lifelike" motion, but also in a loss of detail and come flickering...

So if i'm right, bob() is the filter you need, it's the simplest and fastest, but not the best quality-wise.
There're many bobbers, DGBob, Kernelbob, just search on this forum! :)

I would recommend MVBob() (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84725)-- it's a great motion compensated bobber.

hehe... mvbob might make it look alive, but certainly not in realtime :)

alive like a 100 year old turtle, i'm thinking.

Ok!

But I'm gonna have to double fps with those bobbers...
So,to encode a whole film I'll have to double bitrate, right?
I don't really want that...
Can I firstly double the framerate to achieve what I want and then
decrease the framerate back to,say,25 fps ,WITHOUT loosing that
"psychological" feeling?
Is this possible? Sometimes-yes.Just imagine playing DooM III @ 60fps
and recording the gameplay to the VHS-casette through the video-out
of the videocard. After this, sit back in front of TV and watch the
gameplay.Yes,certainly,it's the same,but @ 24 FPS (30 in US).
Thus I don't know, whether it's possible to make such effect just on
a PC without using any other stuff...
