Im working with a disc that has 2 angles, 1 angle has a foreign language track and im guessing a slightly altered video track to go with it. Im just trying to figure out how to strip one of these angles, because the bitrate w/o taking one off is 968 which is just crazy thanx in advance.

there are few methodes
one -> use DVDRB v0.66 or < (keep angles)
other -> with IfoEdit, open your VTS_xx_x.ifo -> click on "Get VTS sectors" and click on "VOB Extras"
enable remove angles
then select your angle in the dropdown menu ;)

I tried that 2nd method with ifo edit and the menu was completely unusable.

After removing the angles with IfoEdit, you have to copy the stuff from the target directory back to the original directory, then start IfoEdit again and do a "Get VTS Sectors" to correct all the pointers / offsets.

:( im lost. There has got to be an easier way. I thought this new dvd-rb would have a one click angle stripper or something for us dumbies out here.

And I thought the numbers 3, 6, 7, 12, 24, and 36 would allow me to win the lottery!:)
Angle stripping can be very easy or very difficult, depending on the source.
I have been successfull with IFOEdit in very simple videos, where the angles were limited (as in Star Wars' selection of the language of the rolling text at the beginning), but failed in the complex ones, where the multiangles / ILVU are interwined across the video.
Rebuilder allowed me to backup those videos where the multiangles are not very large, as RB does not (currently) compress the multiangled parts. So, if they are large, there will be very little room for the compressed parts, resulting in very poor bitrate.
If you got one of those, your options would be:
- wait for a RB version that are able to process this kind of sources (jdobbs, RB developer is working on it)
- Use DVD Shrink to do a full backup or a movie only with just one angle
- Use more sofisticated tools (as DVDRemake)to do the angle stripping

Or just use DVD Decrypter... don't forget to select menu
tools->settings->file mode->multiangle processing->retain angle (choose the one you want)
I think this method will do what you need, I've never tested, though :D (but then again... I never test my methods :))... just kidding.

The problem I've encountered with multiangle stripping in Decrypter is that, apparently, it does not reauthor the IFO files.
So, when I tried to process with the older versións of RB (those that do not process multiangled sources), RB found the multiangle references in the IFO and chocked.
But I have never tried "multiangle stripping with DEcrypter + RB with multiangle capacity ". I think it is worht a shot.

I tried that but decrypter timed out for some reason.
