Hi All,
I purchased DVDxCopy Platinum a couple months back from XPCGEAR.com (http://www.xpcgear.com/), but since I had not yet installed my DVD burner I decided to wait to install the software. I just recently tried to installed the software and found out that it needed to be activated. The software came with a License ID # and a Password # inside the DVD case. However neither of these worked and the online activation and their phone number was no longer available.
I legally paid for this software and have all receipts and retail packaging showing I own it. Does anyone know of any other way I can activate it?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Don

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Have you tried to contact XPCGear?

As far as I know, 321 Studios (who were the vendors of DVDxCopy products) is out of business due to legal injunctions by US Federal courts.

EDIT: See Doom9's August 4th news regarding 321 Studios. http://www.doom9.org/Old_news/august04.htm

Thanks jggimi for your reply. I emailed XPCgear today and hopefully I will be hearing back from them. I also found DVDxCopy's forum, which there is some update information (dated 11/04/04) by DVDxCopy on who to contact to get the software activated. The automated email reply I received stated that I would be contacted back within 24 hours. I sure hope I will be able to get the software activated since I paid $80 for it.
